The Gounaris Abboud firm received news today that its appeal in State of Ohio v. Van R. Wilson (Montgomery County Case Number 2007-CR-1509 and Court of Appeals Case Number 23167) was successful.

Our client appealed his sentence and his right to withdraw his former plea of no contest. The Court of Appeals accepted our argument and has returned the case back to the trial court. We are happy for our client and wish him all the best!

The GAFirm had a very successful week in federal court!

First, the firm received great news in that the civil case against one of its client's was completely dismissed (3:09-CV-00066). Later, we received terrific news from the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals in Case Number 08-4418 when it ruled in our favor in upholding the lower court's decision awarding our client one million dollars.
